Considerations: The Best Schools relies heavily on data from the Center for World-Class Universities (known colloquially as “the Shanghai Rankings”). From there, The Best Schools researched the “most important characteristics” of each of the top 50 medical and pharmacy programs on the list in order to reveal why each university medicine and pharmacy program appears where it does. As such, the ranking is essentially a regurgitation of the Shanghai Rankings accompanied with the Best School’s interpretation.
